While my first four reasons all centered on the characters of B5 the intertwining plots that make you go "woah" the first time around and "Oh My Gosh, of course" after thinking about it are another part that makes B5 so great.
In my family it was my mom who got my dad and I into it and it became a weekly family ritual to watch Babylon 5.
