I decided to pitch in for one of the missing days and here is a short ficlet for you all. There will be another later too. I hope you enjoy it!
Title: To Dream of the Future
Author: alexcat
Type: Gen.
Rating: PG
Disclaimer: I do not own any characters in this story and I do not profit from their use.
Warnings: None
Characters: Londo, Vir, Mr. Morden
Spoilers: Yes for the entire arc if you’ve not seen it.
Summary: Three men dream.
~~~
Londo could see the road was heading down. He knew what the end result was going to be. His visions would come to pass. Of this he was sure.
Was he wrong in his actions?
Probably.
Was he going to turn back?
No. Not now.
There was no turning back for him or for the Centauri Republic. Even if it damned them all forever.
*
Vir watched Londo sleep. He had passed out on the sofa again with his clothes still on and his hair in total disarray.
A few months ago, he would have laughed to himself and thrown a blanket over Londo.
Now he sat down and wondered if he himself would ever sleep again. Could he somehow unknow what he had seen and heard these last few months?
*
Mr. Morden hovered nearby in a room with his unseen companions. Things were going so well. Mollari was perfect for their needs.
He smiled and rubbed his hands together. Yes, things were going very well.
His masters would be pleased.
*
All three rested. They all dreamed of Mr. Morden’s head on a pike. Only Vir smiled in his sleep.
