Page-A-Day calendar (again)

Back in 1999, I spent most of the year gathering my favorite quotes and photos from B5 episodes and creating a page-a-day calendar. Each "day" had the Month and Date and Day, but no year ... well it turns out that 2010 will have the same days and dates as 1999, so I decided to recycle my calendar for the (hopefully) enjoyment of the B5 Love community, hoping that it will be new to many of you.

Addendum  [personal profile] ladyhelen tried to help by suggesting DropSend, but as many of you know, it didn't work.

However,
[info]curwinus came to the rescue and let me send the zip file to him. He posted the URL for downloading in his comment below (but you can click here). As he notes, some files were missing; I sent him *another* zip file with the missing JPGs.

Now, I have to re-create pages for the last 3 pages in September, and then I can put those and pages for the rest of the year in another zip file.

Finally, since the end of the year only takes me through "Intersections in Real Time," I have additional pages for the following January.

I don't know why things were so discombobulated, but hopefully people will like them any way.

Here is an example of one of the pages:

So, the calendar files for February have 4 days/pages in each file; these would be printed in landscape orientation. Starting in March, there are 2 days/pages in each file, which would be printed in portrait orientation. You would then cut along the lines and display them however you like! I have had mine bound at the top like the ones you get at the stores, with a glue-like substance that lets you peel one off every day. I've also had them hole-punched and spiral-bound at the top.

Some of the images have a pinkish tint to the edges - that's because I used the same template file over and over again in Paint - when I made this, it was the only software I had for this type of thing.

http://www.dropsend.com/ is good for this kind of thing - I think files are only available for a specified length of time, 24 hours or something - but you could always upload it again if someone who wanted it didn't get it in time?

This is a really neat idea! I can't help you with the upload issues, but I've downloaded zip files via Mediafire and Megaupload. Mediafire looks a little easier to understand from their webpage, but I haven't tried it yet. Hopefully someone more technically adept can help!

I can host it for you. No charge. Send an email to me and we can work out the details.

Well, I tried all three of the dropsend links and it says they don't exist.

Yes me too....I tried all three links about 5 minutes ago (12:16AM EDT) and nada.

rats really wanted to see all of them to!

If it's not too large to e-mail then you could send it to me. I've got a permanent megaupload account and webspace so I'd be happy to provide mirror links for curwinus.

Current file is at http://silent-tower.org/hosting/B5Calendar.zip/file_view

Direct download is http://silent-tower.org/hosting/B5Calendar.zip

I think there are some files missing, but if I get updates, I refresh the zip and post a note here.

Gah, I feel so ridiculously new to the fandom, having just come into it last year >.<

This is really nice, quite fantastic! Brilliant idea.

Oh, wow, this is fantastic! I can only imagine how much time you must have spent to compile all that material... Browsing through the pages, reading the quotes and watching the pictures, brings back so many scenes and images and lines I'd almost, or entirely, forgotten. So much fun - thank you for sharing!

Brilliant, my friend..... WoW!!!

This is great... so much work and the quotes are like a ride down memory lane! Fabulous job!
