[arrives late] I've never been much in HP fandom but I also love to sort characters into little boxes. (In fact I think you might enjoy looking at my contribution this month on the 9th :p) I agree with most of your assessment, and I'm especially fond of your analysis of Garibaldi. Zack is dear to me, so I had a bit of a think about where I'd place him -- maybe Hufflepuff primary and Ravenclaw secondary. He's very invested in doing what's right, and he may not be "book-smart" but he sure as hell has specific knowledge that he needs to do his job extremely well. The loyalty aspect comes in for me where he is insistent on doing what he believes is right not necessarily because it's inherently correct, but because it's what is best for his loved ones and for the station.
