Babylon 5 Love Fest Prompt meme

This is a prompt meme/comment ficathon, but with a little twist - a prompt meme where you can prompt all those fanworks that you wish existed.

A vid to that song that decribes Keffer to a tee, a tag to that episode that left you unsatisfied, that perfect crossover fandom, a batch of icons of N'Grath, an artwork of that scene in that fic that you love... The prompts can be for any medium, and as generic or as specific as you want. You can even ask for recs, if what you want to see is something that you think must already exist.

There are no quarantees that your wish will be fullfilled, but there's always a chance someone will be inspired to create that fanwork you've always craved, or maybe it has already been done, and someone can point you to it.

Anon comments are on, so those of you who wander here from Tumblr or don't have an LJ-account for some other reason are also welcome to leave prompts (you can also comment using Google+ or Twitter).

I have always always always wanted to see a fic in which John and Delenn get married and Susan is John's best man and Jeff is Delenn's maid of honour. And other shenanigans ensue.

1) I always kind of wanted a look at what other people saw during War Without End. There were supposed to be more time flashes that happened and we didn't see any other characters'. And maybe an exploration of where Delenn went hoping about to when she traded stabilizers with John (I kind of imagine that she ended up back in time and a partial memory of the experience may have been why she was so sure of her role in prophecy).

2) Sometimes this fandom is too canon compliant for me, because I feel like there should be more stories that ignore Sleeping in Light (and I guess parts of Deconstruction) and find some skiency way for John not to die.

3) Why is it so hard to find songs to vid expressing Lennier's feelings for Delenn? I keep trying to find one because I feel like exploring it through vidding is something I would get a lot from, but their relationship seems the kind of thing people don't write songs about. So if anyone has any recommendations for songs, or has gone and done the vidding...I guess that's what I want to know about.

Oh man, I know little about songs and less about vidding, but if someone ever could capture Delenn/Lennier or Lennier-->Delenn...hell, yes, I'd be there for that! I feel like there's just a lot of longing, and respect, and desire to serve and please, and to be recognized as important to her, and possibly also to tell all her enemies to go DIAF.

Do you know the song 'Happy to Be So' by Over the Rhine? I have always felt that was the perfect Lennier song. I'm no vidder but I'd love to see that done.

As for 1) that is an intriguing idea. I've written about John's flash a couple of times, and Delenn's in passing but the others...
I think they were only actually on B4 about half an hour (doesn't Susan say that she's given them about 30 minutes at one point?) so maybe the others didn't have time to experience a flash. But then time is infinite, so.

2) I've read some 'and then *hand-wave* John doesn't die' fics but the story loses some (a good deal imo) resonance without the price being paid. It would be easy enough to postulate advances in Science! that would save him. Maybe a story exploring what it's like to have completely accepted death as a price and then not have to pay it. It would turn your world around all right.

Well, even hand waving how much time would have had to pass in Babylon Squared given the travel distance and number of trips they said it would take, we know they had time for at least a couple of time flashes while Jeff and Michael were there and the B4 crew had already experienced a few by that point (at least the one corresponding to Delenn's flash we see).

2.
On one hand yes I understand the thematic need for a sacrifice to be made, and it's especially Lord of the Rings-y to have an end like that but...well, I don't actually like Sleeping in Light that much. And while I sort of understand that John made his peace with it instead of raging against the dying of the light in the end; I don't feel like the others would. I'm pretty sure Delenn and Stephen had a conspiracy over the years where they kept talking about wild theories that wold have saved John's life.

Then again, sometimes I toy with the idea that after Marcus's death Stephen went to John to point out that the alien healing device could give him more time, and John says no because how won't ask that of anyone else; and btw, don't tell Delenn it's even an option because we both know she'd do it.

-Sometime shortly after Confessions and Lamentations, Sheridan gets a cold, Delenn is very worried (and/or the reverse).

I've always wanted to see something threesomeshippy set during War Without End between John, Jeffrey, and Delenn. I can't be the only one who likes the idea of the three of them together.

I also really love cultural clash things in this fandom. Delenn getting used to strange human customs. John and Delenn struggling over cultural differences. Jeffrey getting used to being Valen and being confused by Minbari culture of the past (and I'd love to see more of how past Minbari culture differs from present Minbari culture).

G'Kar. Just more G'Kar gen. His thoughts during the period where he was captured and tortured because those scenes were mostly from Londo's point of view on screen.

I'd love to see more explorations of Susan and what she was doing during season 5.

I love all of these ideas, especially the Jeff/John/Delenn and the Valen & past Minbari culture. And Susan in season 5!
